ROLE: Founder | Lead Organiser
PURPOSE: Mowll Street Big Lunch – By The Community, For The Community, 2016 – Present.
- Leading the organisation of an annual street party on my road in South London for four years in a row
- Developing deep relationships with local businesses, the local primary school and church, and residents old and new
- Working with a team of co-organisers, holding regular planning meetings, bossing spreadsheets to keep us all on track, and ensuring that everyone is fired up by the vision
- Working ‘magpie-like’ to capitalise on the strengths of community members, including delivering an art project with a local artist, 100 children and 300 plastic bottles
